Arkansas landowners can receive 75% reimbursement, up to $20,000, for approved feral hog trapping systems through the 2026 state program
EAST HADDAM, CT, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Pig Brig Trap Systems, the field-proven, patented wild pig net trap, today announced that its trapping systems are eligible for reimbursement through the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s 2026 Feral Hog Conservation Incentive Program. Applications are open through September 11, 2026.
The program reimburses qualifying Arkansas landowners and cooperatives for 75% of eligible trapping system costs, up to $20,000, to help reduce feral hog damage to agricultural land and wildlife habitat.
Eligible participants must own or lease at least 100 acres in Arkansas with evidence of feral hog activity. Smaller landowners may apply cooperatively within the same county if they meet acreage requirements together.
“One of the biggest challenges in feral hog management is removing entire sounders effectively while keeping tools working on the landscape,” said Dr. Aaron Sumrall, Director of Outreach, Education & Research at Pig Brig Trap Systems. “This program helps reduce cost barriers and supports more effective long-term trapping efforts.”
The 2026 program allows one trap for 100–500 acres, two traps for 501–1,499 acres, and up to three traps for 1,500+ acres. Existing trap ownership does not affect eligibility.
Reimbursement is issued in two stages: 45% after purchase approval and 30% after the first documented trapping event, for a total of up to 75%, subject to the $20,000 cap.
